By Margaret Tapogna Gatzonis, Danceworks Dance Center quickly became one of the leading artistic and creative dance education centers in the City of New York for its time. After 16 seasons as owner and director, Ms. Gatzonis, passed the torch to Fallon White, her mentee and long time member of the studio.

Now celebrating our 31st season of excellence in dance education, Ms. Fallon along with her co-director Ms. Joelle Messina have continued to carry on the Danceworks name with pride. Working endlessly to maintain the original concept and values of Danceworks, while breathing new life into the company.

Danceworks Dance Center, has an extremley high success rate of students accepted into specialized school programs, including Mark Twain Jr. High School and LaGuardia High School. As well as, numerous college programs with concentrations in dance and the arts.

We are proud to say many of our students have transitioned into a professional career, after their education at Danceworks. Past alumni have appeared on Broadway, TV and film. They've graced concert stages with the prestigious Ailey & Lubovitch Dance Companies and have rocked Met Life stadium as members of the NY JETS Cheer / Dance Team.

Our mission is to provide quality training, while building confidence, self discipline, a healthy lifestyle and so much more! It is our hope that the lessons taught at Danceworks will extend far beyond our studio walls, long after our students leave our care. We believe dance is a healthy & artistic outlet for self expression which is so greatly needed amongst our youth today.
